A run page is a use-case path with checklist discipline. Export and form pads is not a moodboard. It is a sequence you can run when the week is already loud. We open with the outcome, name the unit path that carries the gear (Continuous Dampening Desk), and keep a makeready note nearby so language stays consistent across the desk.
Day one: write the stock and finish in one sentence and pick the primary unit path. Day two: photograph the first good sheet and pin the check card. Day three: run packing or dampening checks twice. Day four: confirm colour bar or barcode rules if the SKU needs them. Day five: review scrap and what needs a different path.
South African print rooms often skip day two. That is how soft solids arrive at the client. Export and form pads insists on the checklist before the marketing photo. If load-shedding truncates the evening, compress days three and four into a single power window and protect the checklist, never the decorative work. Make sure you separate the checklist from the pretty pack photo when someone is shooting launch assets.
Every run links at least one unit path and one makeready note. The unit holds the transfer. The note holds the reasoning your press lead can repeat. Export and form pads fails when the team treats it as inspiration. It also fails when scope expands mid-week: a brochure week that suddenly includes carton accents, or a stationery path that adds UV varnish on Saturday. Keep the path narrow. Add a second run next week if you must.
