Lighting in the photo is cool studio navy and cream, not retail glam. We keep soft blue as a cue in chrome, never as a flood on sample pages.
When you email the desk, attach your own sample beside this reference and name the density complaint in one sentence. We would rather recieve a clear photo than a long brand story.
South African plants often hang samples under warm office lights and then wonder why press density looks different. Match the viewing light to your make-ready lamp rail when you can. Prefered practice is to keep one cool daylight lamp on the sample wall.
Samples are not certificates. They show what honest transfer looks like under our desk lighting. Your press will differ. The point is a shared starting sentence for print@offsetprinter.co.za.
If the sample shows heavy solids, check soft powder and IR notes before you widen ink keys. If it shows thin stationery, check feeder suckers before you blame the plate. Make sure you seperate the decorative client photo from the density card so marketing does not rewrite your scrap rate.
Each sample folder in Montague Gardens carries a reverse card: stock family, unit path, finish, and the failure mode the sample was meant to illustrate. If your plant keeps a physical sample wall, copy that habit. Digital galleries alone do not survive a loud shift.
